Oummal – Maktoum AID, grantee partner of the Global Statelessness Fund, organized a legal workshop titled “Nationality Under the Hammer of Justice,” at Nabu Museum’s Library on January 18, 2025.

This workshop covered key legal aspects related to registration lawsuits and nationality lawsuits in Lebanon, featuring discussions led by Ms. Maha Ammar and Ms. Sally Mtanios Khalil.
After the Q&A session, Ms. Nourine Fadel, Program Coordinator at Oummal, provided attendees with insights into Oummal’s work in the field of statelessness, particularly with “Maktoumee el Quayd” cases. She introduced the Maktoum AID application, inviting attendees to its virtual launch. Nourine also discussed the ongoing efforts to develop a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the General Directorate of Public Security.
