Yasah Musa

Yasah Musa is a Project Manager at The Nubian Rights Forum, a grassroots legal empowerment organization in Kenya, where he leads the Citizenship and Land Program. With extensive experience in human rights, particularly related to citizenship and digital ID, Yasah is committed to advocating for the rights of minority communities in Kenya, including the Nubians, Kenyan Somalis, Swahilis, and other stateless communities across the world. A community-based paralegal, Yasah was one of the team leads that challenged the digital ID case (National Integrated Identity Management System) in Kenyan courts, highlighting the importance of ensuring that digital ID systems protect the rights of citizens, do not violate their rights nor discriminate against marginalized groups.  Yasah worked with the National Counter Terrorism Centre and the Malaika Foundation to support the development of the County Action Plan on Countering Violence and Extremism in 2017. Yasah holds a Diploma in Human Resources from The Cooperative University and is currently pursuing a Bachelor of Commerce at the University of Nairobi.
