Following a decade of service with nonprofit organizations, in 1999 Martin Dunn launched Dunn Development Corp. to pioneer innovative programs and financing models for developing affordable and supportive housing in New York City. In addition, Dunn Development committed to giving financially, contributing both locally in the communities where it worked and internationally. As Martin transitioned out of Dunn Development to focus on global human rights, he utilized the assets of his company to create Blue Sky Social Justice Fund.
In addition to his work on housing and homelessness in New York, Martin has long been involved in tackling human rights abuses around the world. He has co-founded several social justice organizations and has more than 90 combined years of service as a nonprofit board member. Martin seeks to use his wide-ranging experience and expertise as an activist, entrepreneur, and leader to innovate and increase philanthropic effectiveness through Blue Sky Social Justice Fund’s grantmaking and impact investing.
In addition to serving on the Steering Group of the Global Statelessness Fund, Martin is a board member of Outright International and a board and executive committee member of The Fund for Global Human Rights.
