At the World Conference on Statelessness in Kuala Lumpur February 2024, Koon Peng Ooi from Asia Philanthropy Circle, Tim Parritt from Oak Foundation, and Audrey Guichon from Porticus, learned about the power of solidarity and the arts in raising awareness of statelessness as a human rights issue previously pushed to the sidelines in the funder community. Their article in Alliance magazine highlights how the Global Movement Against Statelessness and the Global Statelessness Fund are a ‘golden opportunity’ for the donor community ‘to support an inspiring, creative and ambitious community of actors, committed to fighting on behalf of the world’s most marginalised.’
