Feature: Global Statelessness Fund on Munasara magazine

The second issue of Munasara, a non-periodical magazine published by the Muwatin Media Network, was launched on September 30, 2025.

This edition, titled “The Lines We Must Dare to Cross: Imagining a World Beyond Statelessness”, focuses on the “urgent and deeply human crisis of statelessness.” Co-conceptualized, developed, and supported by our Global Movement Against Statelessness, this edition also features the Global Statelessness Fund, as well as contributions from our grantee partners and Steering Group members.

“The GSF shares the Global Movement Against Statelessness’ deeply transformative purpose of building a more cohesive, effective, resilient, and strategic statelessness field that centres, is led by, and accountable to those impacted by statelessness and discriminatory nationality laws. The rationale is simple: there is both a moral and strategic imperative to transform this space, to ensure that stateless people are truly recognised as the leaders, experts and narrators of their own struggles. This requires challenging existing status quos, building anew, empowering, supporting and journeying with stateless leaders, and resourcing them to occupy key spaces on their own terms. The Fund’s story is then a movement-driven and values-based journey towards radical solidarity and allyship, with some of the most structurally excluded and disadvantaged peoples of the world, on an issue that intersects with the most significant global human rights, political, social, environmental and economic challenges of our time.”
