Human Rights & Human Wrongs: A 30-Week Visual Storytelling Course by Rohingyatographer

Rohingyatographer is running a 30-week practice-based course exploring the 30 Articles of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights. The program combines weekly online sessions with assignments requiring participants to document real situations in the refugee camps connected to each article.

From January to September 2026, eighty-five Rohingya participants, including 35% women, are receiving training in photography, writing, and visual storytelling. All submissions are original and reviewed weekly by an editorial team. Selected works receive professional payment and will form part of Rohingyatographer Issue 4: Human Rights & Human Wrongs, to be published at the end of 2026.

The course also includes guest lectures by Rohingya and international professionals and in-camp workshops. One recent activity involved a collaborative mural project in Camp 9, developed in collaboration with the Rohingya Art Club, addressing themes of freedom and justice.

The initiative strengthens community-led documentation and links human rights education with practical storytelling skills.
