Aleksandra Semeriak Gavrilenok, Spain
Aleksandra is a formerly stateless political scientist and lecturer specialized in statelessness, migration, asylum and human rights. She is the vice-chair of the European Network on Statelessness.
Amal de Chickera, UK
Amal is a human rights lawyer and co-director of the Institute on Statelessness and Inclusion. Amal has researched, advocated, written, spoken, delivered training, and served as an expert on statelessness and related issues for the UN, NGOs, and academia since 2008.
Audrey Guichon, UK
Audrey is a Portfolio manager for People on the Move at Porticus, where she leads a global team that supports projects and initiatives that further the rights and dignity of people on the move.
Bina Ramanand, Malaysia
Bina is a dedicated advocate for gender justice and citizenship rights at national and international levels. She co-founded the organization Family Frontiers, which supports and advocates for bi-national families’ citizenship rights in Malaysia.
Catherine Harrington, US
Catherine is the campaign manager of the Global Campaign for Equal Nationality Rights (GCENR), a coalition working to end gender discrimination in nationality laws housed within the Women’s Refugee Commission, where Catherine is an associate director.
Laura Bingham, US
Laura is a Professor of Law Practice and Director of the Institute for Law, Innovation & Technology (iLIT) at Temple Law School (USA), a board member of United Stateless, and a founding advisory committee member of the Initiative for Digital Public Interest, a donor-advised fund focused on human rights and digital transformation.
Laura van Waas, Netherlands
Laura has specialized in statelessness for the past 20 years. She is the co-director of the Institute on Statelessness and Inclusion and the co-editor of the Statelessness and Citizenship Review journal.
Martin Dunn, US
Martin is a social entrepreneur, human rights activist, impact investor, and donor. He has co-founded several social justice organizations, and most recently has established the Blue Sky Social Justice Fund.
Sami Haddad, Lebanon
Sami is the Secretary of Oummal NGO, where he leads their statelessness work. Stateless himself, Sami is a dedicated advocate for social justice and the rights of stateless people.
Yasah Musa, Kenya
Yasah Musa is a Project Manager at The Nubian Rights Forum, a grassroots legal empowerment organization in Kenya, where he leads the Citizenship and Land Program.
The Global Statelessness Fund is an initiative co-created by stateless people, civil society organizations, and donors. We believe that the most effective responses to statelessness are those led by people with lived experience. The Fund seeks to strengthen the individual and collective action of stateless people and their partners through participatory, flexible, and transformative grantmaking.
